The Mission
Blueberry Ridge Stewardship Services,
LLC, is a professional services firm founded for the purpose of
providing assistance to public, non-profit and private clients in
the land planning and conservation fields.
As the need to protect public and private land grows
and as protection strategies and funding mechanisms become more
complex, the demand for quality planning, monitoring,
grant-procurement, and analysis services soars. BRSS can help both
large and small organizations and individuals with varied resource
levels meet these diverse needs and obligations.
BRSS’s activities are informed by the importance of
satisfying the requirements of the Internal Revenue Service, as well
as the Standards and Practices of the Land Trust
Alliance.
Lawrence E. Howard,
Esq.
Lawrence Howard is the founder and principal of
BRSS. He holds a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning from
Pratt Institute and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School. Lawrence
is a member of the New York State Bar.
Lawrence has been providing planning and legal
services as a sole practitioner and as a sub-contractor since 1996.
He provides services to private, non-profit, and public clients. His
services include: open space planning, fiscal analysis, zoning,
environmental analysis, database design and management, geographical
analysis (GPS/ GIS), document design, land use, real estate and
conservation support. Prior to 1996, Lawrence was the Zoning and
Building Code Specialist for the Grand Central & 34th Street
Partnerships in New York City.
