Blueberry Ridge Stewardship
Services recognizes the importance of the unique partnerships
inherent in land conservation and planning.
The relationships between conservation organizations
and land owners, municipalities and community members, and grantors
and grantees are multifaceted and complex. Responsibilities of
monitoring for compliance, enforcement, reporting, responsiveness to
constituents, environmental concerns and economic development force
the same entity to assume many roles, some of which may be in
conflict with each other. The way these many relationships are
handled can reduce conflict and facilitate the achievement of each
stakeholder’s goals.
In all its activities, BRSS strives to foster those
relationships and works to maintain and improve
communication.
Non-profits will benefit from initial and continued
funding from grantors with the use of effective funding proposals
and reports; and from professional land monitoring services that
reassure property owners and contributors. Municipalities will
benefit by the creation of effective and meaningful opportunities
for residents to participate in the planning process thereby
creating widespread support for local government land use planning
projects. Individual landowners will benefit from carefully designed
development and conservation planning that is cognizant of estate
planning principles.
Although the need for services
may vary, non-profit organizations, municipalities and individuals
all benefit from consistent, professional service that preserves
value, protects the land, and improves the quality of
life.
